On Thursday, the 27thof September, the Irish Beauty Blog Awards, sponsored by Tan Organic, took over Lillie’s Bordello for a night to celebrate bloggers and content creators. According to their website, “the Irish Beauty Blog Awards was established to acknowledge the immense effort and commitment that is invested into creating a memorable and insightful blog”. I was lucky enough to have been shortlisted for ‘Best Newcomer Influencer’ and as a result, I got to attend the awards night and I’m here today to share everything about the night with you guys!
My Outfit
So, as soon as I got the official invite to attend, the first thing on my mind was “What am I going to wear?”. The dress code for the night was “GLAM” and if you follow me on Instagram or keep up with my blog, you would know that my sense of style leans more towards street-style/casual outfits, so when searching for an outfit, I knew that I had to find something that would incorporate both comfortable and glam.

After hours of searching, I decided to go with this lace wrap dress. I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this dress, especially its asymmetrical hem cause it’s something that I don’t see often. Another reason why I love this dress is because it reminds me of the ‘Salsa Dancer Emoji’ which is definitely a bonus. Who doesn’t want to spend their night looking like an emoji? I love the lace detailing of the dress and the fact that the dress has a tie-fastening makes it the more flattering.
I paired the dress with some rose-gold heels and again, this was outside of my comfort zone cause I’m more of a sneaker and boots girl. The heels were more on the simpler side because I didn’t want to take too much away from the dress. I matched my shoes with a clutch that was very similar in colour with the shoes. Again, I chose a clutch that was on the simpler side so that it didn’t take too much away from the dress.

I’m quite happy with how the whole came together and I’m excited to hopefully start styling some more ‘glam’ outfits.

I had so much at the awards night I got to meet and chat to such amazing people, both people that I knew beforehand and people I met on the night itself. A big congrats to all those who won an award.
Once again, I had such a fab night at the awards and courtesy of Dingle Distillery, Delish Donuts, Artic Stone Ice Cream and more, I, along with everyone else in attendance were well taken care off.
Yours,
Bukola Veronica
